Biotal GT 3000

10 LITRE DRUMS — OTHER SIZES AVAILABLE ON REQUEST — LIQUID FORMAT

Biotal GT 3000 is a liquid biological treatment formulated specifically for the biodegradation of fats, oils and grease (FOG) within marine galley drains, scuppers and grease traps. It supports the breakdown of food waste at source, helping reduce build-up and prevent persistent odours.

Application: Galley drains, scuppers, grease traps and associated pipework

Use: Automated dosing via timer and peristaltic pump, or regular manual dosing

Use type: Routine, in-service biological grease management

Product specification

Application area

Galley grey water systems including drains, scuppers, grease traps and pipework leading to holding tanks or sewage treatment systems

Purpose

Biological degradation of fats, oils and grease to reduce build-up, odours and flow restriction

Targets

Food-derived fats, oils and grease, plus associated organic residues including proteins and starches

Format

Liquid biological treatment containing application-specific bacteria strains and eco-benign® surfactant system

Packaging

10 litre drums as standard. Other pack sizes available on request

Dosing

Recommended dosing: 150 ml per day upstream of the main grease source using a timer and peristaltic pump.

Manual dosing is also possible but should be carried out regularly for optimum results.

Avoid dosing directly adjacent to dishwasher outlets due to high temperature and high pH discharge.

Overview

Biotal GT 3000 is a specialist biological formulation developed for the treatment of fats, oils and grease build-up within marine galley systems.

The product contains carefully selected bacteria strains capable of producing high levels of extra-cellular enzymes to rapidly degrade food wastes including fats, oils, grease, protein, starch and fibre. These strains have been extensively screened to ensure effective performance across a wide range of marine operating conditions.

GT 3000 bacteria establish resilient biofilms within pipework and grease traps, helping maintain biological activity even under variable pH and temperature conditions. The formulation also includes an eco-benign® surfactant combination that softens solid fat deposits, making them more accessible to biological breakdown without emulsifying the grease.

Benefits

Provides rapid control of odours within galley drainage systems

Reduces grease build-up in galley drains and grease traps

Reduces frequency of mechanical drain clearing and grease trap emptying

Non-caustic and non-corrosive formulation

Supports downstream sewage treatment by reducing FOG loading

Our products are designed for environmental responsibility

Eco-benign® formulations

Designed to perform effectively while breaking down to natural biomaterials that are biodegradable in treatment systems and the environment.

Reduced reliance on aggressive chemistry

Replaces or reduces the need for corrosive mineral acids, solvents and caustic treatments traditionally used on board.

Lower environmental impact by design

Formulated to avoid the environmental hazard classifications associated with traditional acids and heavy chemistry.

Gentler on marine environments

Focuses on biodegradation and controlled breakdown of waste, rather than simply lowering oil levels without regard for wider toxicity
