Overview
Biotal Marine Professional GDL is a biological treatment developed for the breakdown of fats, oils and grease in drain lines and grease management systems.
The formulation contains specially selected bacteria capable of degrading a wide range of materials commonly found in grease traps and interceptors, including vegetable oils, solid fats, proteins and starch.
These strains are selected for performance in lower pH environments typical of grease systems and remain active under variable operating conditions.
The eco-benign® formulation avoids emulsifying surfactants, allowing grease to be broken down biologically without negatively affecting the physical separation performance of traps and interceptors.
Benefits
Reduces build-up in drains, traps and pipework
Breaks down fats, oils and grease at source
Helps prevent blockages and slow drainage
Controls odours associated with grease systems
Supports efficient operation of grease traps and interceptors
Biodegradable, low-toxicity formulation for safer use

Our products are designed for environmental responsibility
Eco-benign® formulations
Designed to perform effectively while breaking down to natural biomaterials that are biodegradable in treatment systems and the environment.
Reduced reliance on aggressive chemistry
Replaces or reduces the need for corrosive mineral acids, solvents and caustic treatments traditionally used on board.
Lower environmental impact by design
Formulated to avoid the environmental hazard classifications associated with traditional acids and heavy chemistry.
Gentler on marine environments
Focuses on biodegradation and controlled breakdown of waste, rather than simply lowering oil levels without regard for wider toxicity
